Last year Assen was very very wet, but this year it was dry and even sunny at times. TrackandTuner.com was in the paddock to take a look behind the scenes.
We checked out the qualifying session where Sykes was the quickest, which is no surprise for Mister Superpole.
The race however was different, with a strong performance of the Aprilia riders, Laverty and Guintoli. Normally I try to make a prediction which will win the championship. But this year Laverty, Guintoli and Sykes are so close together it will be hard to predict the outcome.
Last year Max Biaggi won with only half a point between him and Sykes. Biaggi retired but was still on the paddock as a commentator for the Italian TV.
The races were unfortunately not that excited this year, but it’s still a joy to look at the all the action in and around the paddock.
