Retrospective 2025: Cult and Style

Trackandtuner visited Retrospective last year, and we did not want to miss it this year.

It combines the best show cars, racing cars, street cars and JDM scene all together at one event.

RetroSpective is a sublabel of RevWorks that focuses on cars 25 years and older. The 70s, 80s, and 90s in particular are truly the golden eras of various car cultures. With an eye to the future and the cars the 00s will add to the RetroSpective concept, we can continue to expand for a long time to come.

The three decades mentioned above each have their own specific styles. For example, the 70s are known for lowriders and muscle cars. The 80s are known for pop-up headlights and the masterful DTM era that continued into the 90s. So, there's a lot to see from every 10 years.

So fun to see race car styles and a full casino in a Peugeot.

What Retrospective does really well is creating a great ambiance for ALL car enthusiasts.

If you have a 20k car, or only 20K invested in the engine alone, it doesn't matter, style isn't about money.

It's an easy going layed back atmosphere  where you can enjoy all kinds of cars.

My favorite of the shows where:

  • The Purple Honda S2000, I like the looks, maybe set up the HP on the engine, but the looks were mad.
  • The 7-Eleven Honda S2000 looked mega, everything period correct.
  • The Opel Time attack car, looks and feels fast. Lightweight and nimble with a high revving engine.
  • The Dodge was I think best of show, fitted with the brandnew hellcat engine. Old skool looks with new technology, unique in the Netherlands. You would only see this at SEMA.
  • The Liberty Walkt Maza R7. I hope it has a engine to match
  • The Hurcan looked mega
  • The BMW e30 turbo always looks great.

What is your favorite car?
