The AvD-Oldtimer-Grand-Prix is the most traditional racing festival of historic motorsport in Central Europe and Scandinavia. Hundreds of historic racing cars line up in numerous starting fields at the Nürburgring. Pre-war sports cars can be seen as well as formula cars from different eras, tourenwagen classics and Deutsche Revival races.
We have been to the AvD Oldtimer for the last 15 years.

BMW M1 procar madness and flames
The diversity of cars is incredible.
You can see anything from the legendary Lotus F1 cars, the BMW M3 e30 DTM, BMW M1 Procar, Alfa 156 DTM, Bizzarini and even some rare Isdera's.
The cars are real racing cars, real sounds (NO OPF filters), real people getting these cars fixed. You can smell the oil, and all the cars from up close and personal.
We have met so many great owners, who have a lot of passion of keeping these legendary cars on track, racing like they should!
Don't forget some of these cars are now worth millions and this makes it incredible to see them full power on the Nurburgring.
There are also many club stands like the Mega Porsche area.
As you can see in the video's down below, you should come only to hear real engine sounds alone.
However, there is a lot more. The paddock is always filled with great classic cars, the owners always bring there nice modern Hypercars, the Nordschleife is also open and attracting a lot of great modern cars and the ambience of seeing old skool cars like the BMW M3 e30, Ford Escort, Opel Manta, Porsche 924 and more driving around the Nordschleife area is just awesome.
Even the parking lots are filled with great hypercars and classic cars!
So book your tickets and inhale some real classic racing!
